Novas are currently seeking applications from energetic and
enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Relief Worker at Bellevue
House located in Dublin. Bellevue House is a residential service for
separated young people seeking asylum in Ireland. Established in

accommodation to residents between the ages of **Apply on the

be afforded necessary training and development in line with the role.
Novas is a voluntary organisation and Approved Housing Body working
with families, children and single adults who are disadvantaged and
socially excluded; primarily those who are homeless or at risk of
being homeless. We provide a range of housing, health and recovery
services and accommodation for marginalised households throughout
Ireland primarily using a trauma informed approach (all staff are
trauma informed and trained) and a harm reduction model of support. We
also provide bespoke community based supported living services for
persons that find themselves homeless with complex support
requirements on both the Intellectual Disability and Mental Health
spectrums.
POSITION: RELIEF WORKER

CONTRACT: LOCUM/RELIEF (SUBJECT TO FUNDING)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Minimum Level 7 (or 3rd year student in Social Care) on National
Framework of Qualifications in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in
Social Care or a related discipline. Related disciplines are:
Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community
Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching and Nursing
* Availability to work varying shifts including early, late, waking
night shifts and sleepovers.
* An understanding of the nature of the service and the needs of the
young people
* An ability to work in a service where our young people have
multiple and complex needs
* Demonstrate the ability to treat the client group in a non-
judgmental way from a trauma informed perspective, which under pins
Novas service delivery.
DESIRABLE:
* Full clean driving license Experience of working with young people
and/or other vulnerable groups
* Training in trauma-informed practice is desirable but not
essential as training is provided
* Experience of working with young people and/or other vulnerable
groups
